OVERVIEW

To see success we have found, as Napoleon Hill did, that Mastermind groups are a very powerful source in helping us take action on what we know we should be doing. In becoming a successful business owner / professional we must have what are called the 5 H's To Success.
(H1) - HOPE - The hope and belief that we will be successful.
(H2) - HEAD - The knowledge to know what actions we need to take.
(H3) - HEART - Our Life Vision discovered, then plugged into actions.
(H4) - HANDS - We MUST take action - right actions - right way - right time.
(H5) - HELP - Deep knowledge and wisdom comes from helping others.
While some wait to join a Mastermind group until after they complete all seven initial lessons, we encourage you to join a group as soon as you complete the survey.  A CPN member will help you find the right Mastermind group.
In Romans 5:3-5 we discover where HOPE comes from and we as Christians should have more HOPE than anyone else in the world.
A mastermind group helps us to learn from others, network with others, grow from the experiences of others, and gain input into how we can be the most successful, in the least amount of time, with the least amount of effort.

Step 1:  3 Minute Personality Survey

You won't believe the amazing things you will learn about yourself in a few simple questions.  You'll probably get so excited that you will want everyone on your leadership team to also complete the survey.

As A Pastor How Do You View Business Owners?

Do you view business owners as co-labors with the same high calling that you have as a pastor?

The average person will know 250 people while the average business owner will know over 5,500 people.  Hmmm ... Imagine ... helping business owners to understand they have an equal calling as pastors ... actually as everyone who is called by God to do what God designed them for.

When we elevate the calling of others, we serve to an equal position as our calling and miracles start to happen.  People start to become co-labors with us and over time our stress and pressure start to go down as participation and engagement go up.

Session #1 Assignment

If we "just watch the lesson" and do not do the assignments we become a part of the problem.  If we aren't disciplined in applying what we learn to EVERY area of life, we will never master what is being taught.
  • SEE ~ When you watch the video ... what do you SEE?   Do you share this video with others and SEE what they SEE?
  • THINK ~ Does this video trigger you to think about things, about yourself ... about other people in a different way?
  • DO ~ What does this video cause you to do?  HINT:  Maybe personally take the 3 minute personality survey AND share it with others you know, asking them to put you as the person who referred them.  ~ click here ~ for 3 minute online survey.
  • CORE ~ Fixing things at the CORE.

Time Block Time To Watch Session #2

We all live busy lives and we all have time to do what we believe is important.  If we say ... when asked why we didn't do something ... "I was too busy." or "I didn't have enough time to do it ..." we are actually lying to ourselves and those around us.  The truth is ... "It wasn't a high enough priority."  Remember ...a famous book says, "The truth will set you free."  Time block the most important things in life!

Do You Need More Time?

Do you know why you don't have an abundance of free time?   Now ... stick with us ... don't shut down :-).  The reason any of us don't have an abundance of free time is ... "Because of how we think about time."  When we learn to think differently about time, we will have and abundance of free time.

Learning To Think Differently

It is one of the hardest things for human beings to do ... to think differently.  When we learn to think differently about time, we will start to have more time.
  • Get A Mentor & 2 Buddies ~ CPN can help you find what's called an ARRT Mentor and then 2 ARRT Buddies.  Complete the short 3 minute personality online survey.  Share that you were referred by CPN ~ name of person and they will help to connect you to an ARRT Mentor.
If we do not have a mentor and "just go through" the videos on "The Secret About Time" and/or read the white paper ... most likely it will not work.  Not because it doesn't work, but because you did not follow the instructions properly.
After you complete the above survey, if you want, you can then start to watch short videos and read a white paper on "The Secret About Time" and start your journey into having an extra 20 hours of free time a week to invest into the very reason God has put you on this planet.

7 T's To Stewardship

When we learn to steward these 7 T's ... for us and others ... it seems, that God blesses us with more of all 7 of these things.
  • 1. Time ~ If we are wise stewards of our time and the time of others around us AND they are wise stewards of our time, we will have an abundance of time.  If we do not steward our time well ... we will then have no extra time.
  • 2. Talents ~ Talents are, our gifts.  It could be our spiritual gifts.  It could be our gifts based on our personality, it could be our gifts that our parents give us or that we worked hard to learn.  When we steward our talents and the talents of those around us well ... we get more talents.  If we don't ... we lose talents and they are given to others.
  • 3. Treasure ~ This not only includes financial but any material possessions as well.  When we and those around us learn how to steward possessions well ... we gain more to steward.
  • 4. Trust ~ Trust are the relationships that we have.  When we and others around us learn how to steward our relationships well, we gain more, better and deeper relationships.  If we / others around us do not steward relationships well ... we lose them.
  • 5. Truth ~ Pastors and churches are famous for sharing "Share the truth in love" ... which is great but what is love?  Sadly it seems that it's not saying the hard things to people.  When we don't share the truth ... then people will get hurt and we as pastors get to clean up or pick up the messes due to people not being told the truth. Sometimes, things are shared in such a "loving" or soft way that it doesn't get through people's thick head or hardened heart.
  • 6. Temple ~ This is our physical body.  If we don't eat well, exercise and get the right amount of sleep we have more stress and cannot function well ... and then we wonder ... why we have stress, anxiety, fears, depression and a lot of other messy things in our lives.
  • 7. Thought ~ What does it mean in the Bible when God says "Capture every thought."   It can't mean "every" thought.  That would be impossible!  Right?  Well ... maybe think of this a bit differently and think "Can I capture every thought for 1 minute or 5 minutes or 10 minutes?"  Maybe it's not 100%, 100% of the time for our whole lives but are we getting more like Him in how we Organize & Discipline our Minds?

Step 1:  3 Minute Personality Survey

You won't believe the amazing things you will learn about yourself in a few simple questions.  You'll probably get so excited that you will want everyone on your leadership team to also complete the survey.

Brain Science & Personalities

What can we learn about who we are as pastors ... when we learn about our own personality and the personality of those around us?

Step 1: 3 Minute Personality Survey

You won't believe the amazing things you will learn about yourself in a few simple questions. You'll probably get so excited that you will want everyone on your leadership team to also complete the survey.

Disorders, Personalities & Sin

Imagine ... if we as pastors had a tool in brain science which helped us to learn how to assist people to not allow their strength to become a weakness.  Imagine ... if we could work together and partner together with pastors all around the world to collaborate and share resources, insights and wisdom from God to help people with each of the following ... without them even having to tell us about the details of their problems?
Curious + Questions = Wisdom
Interesting ... isn't it ... where our greatest strengths are ... our greatest weaknesses and how our greatest weaknesses are ... our greatest strengths ... misapplied?  Hmmm ... "If I'm curious and allowed to ask the hard questions." might I ask ... "So ... the things we as pastors / leaders often say we're humble about ... maybe we aren't so humble ... and don't realize it?" ... OR ... "Does God give us our strengths ... often through personalities, the DNA we are born with ... and when we become prideful (maybe without even knowing it) ... that strength becomes a weakness?"   "When we become prideful ... does God release his ownership of our personality / gifts and allow us to take credit, often through false humility, and we set ourselves up as leaders to fail and those around us to fall as well?"

Do you know ...

CPN has resources which are available for you as well. The Mastermind groups welcome pastors. Leadership of people, reaching out to people, attracting people, retaining people . . . it's really all about reaching people.

This is what pastors, business owners and professionals do each and every day.

Being a pastor is very much like being a business owner.

The first step for pastors is the same first step as anyone else. We will have you go through a series of questions, to help us help you determine which Mastermind group is best for you.

Mastermind Groups

1. Introduction

Duane and Mark kick off the introduction to this site and talk about a number of most interesting topics.  Do you know someone who may be a great guest to have on this Podcast / webinar?   Do you have questions and / or comments on any elements / parts of the conversation Duane and Mark have?

  • Humble Confidence ~ How are we truly humble ... not talking humble .. but being humble and confidence at the same time?
  • Duane's Background ~ Son of a successful business owner.  Wasn't raised in a Christian home.  Everyone in the family was surprised that God would allow someone in the family to become a pastor and missionary.
  • Mark's Background ~ Son of a pastor / missionary. International speaker and author ... seems to see the world in a very different way than most people. Mark shares how God revealed "The Secret About Time" and how that give him an extra 20 hours of free time every week.

Curious Question ...

"Do you ever get the feeling ... that people in your congregation may not apply ... take to heart ... what you are preaching?  Why is that?  Any chance that ... hmmm ... how do we ask the question ... without offending anyone ... 'Maybe we as pastors don't do so good at applying what we hear?"  :-)   Love you.  :-)

Some Possible "Action Items"

Each of these assignments have the potential for changing your life forever ... if you want it changed.  What's interesting is that when our lives are being changed in a radical way ... the lives of those around us tend to also be changed forever as well.

Let's Apply ... Something!

1 Corinthians 8:1 ..."Knowledge puffeth up ..."?
How do we prevent knowledge from puffing us up?
As a reflex, would we seek to internalize what Duane and Mark shared and seek to apply what was shared?   What is the one action we will take from what is shared?
  • Personality AWAKENING ~ Take 3 minute survey ~ click here ~ AND/OR take 17 second www.Life-GPS.org ... AND ... share it with two other people you know.
  • Discover Your Life Vision ~ Do you know precisely what God has put you on this planet for?  In 20 minutes, complete a passion circle which will lead to the discover our precise / unique ... totally different life vision from all 8+ billion people in the world.  ~ click here ~ If you find people in your church not following through, getting burned out, not engaging ...?  When we learn how to help those we lead to discover their life vision, they see contextually how whatever they do with / for the church helps them fulfill their life vision and that's great for everyone!
  • Do You Want More Free Time ~ Learn how others have learned to think differently about time and gain a lot more free time ... which reduces bad stress, improves life balance and helps in every area of life.~ click here
  • Solve Your Biggest Challenge ~ What is the biggest challenge / problem you are currently facing in any area of your life?  ~ click here ~ For just a minute ... IMAGINE ... what your life would be like if people were to learn to solve their own biggest challenges ... faster / sooner and what your life would be if you did not have to clean up after the poor choices other's made.

2. Curious + Questions

Did you find session #1 to be interesting.  This time together may be even more powerful than the first one as we are starting to dig into even deeper challenges / problems.

  • How does our personality affect our ministry?  What about the personality of those around us?  What may we may not be seeing which is holding us back, and those we serve ... a lot?
  • Do we really need more encouragement as pastors? ... Why are pastors dropping out right and left?
  • Good Stress ... Bad Stress ... How do we know the difference and how do we learn to think differently about stress, pressure, anoxiety and the many other things that attack our minds?
  • If God called us ... why do we quit? ~ Is it stress ... is it pressure ... or is it how we think about what we have been called to do?

Let's Apply & Share :-) ... Something!

Connect with the individual who invited you or call toll free 888.230.2300 to obtain what is called an ARRT Mentor.  When we move forward with assignments and input from our ARRT Mentor and 2 ARRT Buddies, we will start to see greater success in all areas of our lives and ministries.  Who do you know who would benefit from this?  Pass it along to them.

What IF ... we could tell ... based on our personality ... a lot more than we think we can?

Imagine ... what if ... we could better understand ourselves and what makes us tick as pastors?  What if we could learn how to help others around us better understand themselves?  Would that change our entire ministry?   Would it help people to be more like shepherds ... and less like sheep?  Curious questions right?  Do we get burned out in ministry because we're developing shepherds or because we're developing sheep?  Hmmm ... how cool would it be if this one podcast / webinar changed ... well ... EVERYTHING about how we ministered ... and that change ... gave us more free time, less stress, more fulfillment, a better balanced life?   Hmmm ... probably worth 30 minutes of our time to at least consider it ... right?

3. Avoiding Burnout

Why do we as pastors burn out?  Why do those serving in the church burnout?  Many people think it's because we / volunteers are doing too much work ... BUT ... maybe it's something very different?

  • Why do different personalities burn out?  Each individual will tend to burn out for the same core reason ... "We are no longer doing what we  feel we are passionately called to do."
  • If we deeply understand personalities will it help prevent burnout? Actually ... it will.  What creates pleasure for one personality will create pain for another.  Learn to help people find and live their passions and most burnout will be avoided.
  • How do we help people discover their Life Vision ... why they were put on this planet?  Step 1: Take 20 minutes or less and discover your own Passion Circle, which reveals our Life Vision.  ~ click here ~

So ... What Do You Think?

When we take notes ... when we think / ruminate about what is shared and actively, intentionally apply what is shared with our own biggest challenge ... we discover solutions which are life changing for us and those we serve.

Part 1 ...

Who Will You Share ...?

Who do we know who may be facing burnout?  our spouse, our friends, peers, our children, those in our congregation, those in the community?  When we share ... a podcast / webinar we show we care.

Curious Question ...

"Do you ever get the feeling ... that people in your congregation may not apply ... take to heart ... what you are preaching?  Why is that?  Talk to your ARRT Mentor or call toll free 888.230.2300 and ask for information on the model to help people learn to internalize things.

Part 2 ...

Zoom Call at 10:00 am (et) every other Friday
To Join The Live Call ... ~ click here ~

Let's Apply ... Something!

Connect with the individual who invited you or call toll free 888.230.2300 and ask about someone doing a full personality assessment on your entire leadership team or other groups in your church.  It will reveal the most amazing things.

"We we don't burn out by working lots of hours.  We burn out because we don't believe we are making progress!"

Duane Early

Part 2

Part 1 was so popular and seemed to hit home with so many pastors that we have decided to take two sessions for amazing and powerful topic.

What IF ... we could tell ... based on our personality ... a lot more than we think we can?

Zoom Call at 10:00 am (et) every other Friday
To Join The Live Call ... ~ click here ~

4. The Hard Questions

Do we has pastors dodge the hard questions?  Do we teach people around us not even to ask the hard questions?  Does that hurt us ... far more ... than we realize it does?

  • If ... we get upset with a question ... what does that mean?  Obviously it could mean a lot of things but one of the first things we should strongly consider is why we are upset?   Is it because it hits too close to home and we know there is more truth to it than we want to admit?
  • Do we inadvertently stifle questions? Actually ... it will.  What creates pleasure for one personality will create pain for another.  Learn to help people find and live their passions and most burnout will be avoided.
  • Are we developing shepherds or sheep?  Hmmm ... sheep are a lot easier to lead ... so maybe ... we are inadvertently ... subconsciously being a bit sloppy, lazy and undisciplined in our desire to build people who just "follow us" blindly rather than those who challenge us?

Are There Questions, We As Pastors Do Not Want?

Are you fearful to ask questions or to have questions asked us you?  No worries!  We are happy to ask the hard questions and/or be asked the hard questions.  You may be surprised by some of our thoughts / responses to the questions and may have those questions we fear the most may be the ones which change our lives forever?

What questions do you have?  Email your questions and/or thoughts to christianprofessionalnetwork2@gmail.com

Are people honest with you?

What's interesting ... is that most pastors think people are honest with them ...

... but are they really?

Hmmm ... think about it a minute.  Who really tells us the truth?   If you said you enemies or those who are upset with us ... WOW ... CONGATULATIONS!!!   It seems that most pastors have never really thought about that.  We as pastors know when people are angry ... so we usually discard what angry people are saying about us ... which hurts us, those around us and our ministry.
Take a FUN test and go through the 27 questions and count how many of the questions people have asked you.  If it's 24 out of the 27, great!  You have a lot of smart people around you who are willing to tell you the truth.  If it's 19 out of the 27, you are far above average for people around you.  If it's less than 10 of the questions ... well ... let's say ... you may not be very open to receiving the truth or you may have low level people around you who are for sure sheep being lead and not developed in shepards.
  • Do pastors struggle with being pleasers of people?
  • Are pastors over sensitive to criticism?
  • Do we value peace & harmony above truth?
  •     When we say "speak the truth .. in ... love?" what does that mean?  Who determines if the person was doing it in love?
  • Do we black out (give people the silent treatment) and justify it in our own mind.  Some call this blacking out.
  • Do pastors get defensive when asked questions which they feels judge pastors as a group?
  • Are pastors more fearful than others?
  • Do pastors have bigger challenges with integrity than most people?
  •     Do you say you will do something and then not do it?
  •     Do you not follow through on things you say you will do?
  • Are pastors more controlling than most?
  • Are pastors fearful of being found out?
  • Are pastors lazy and lacking in self awareness?
  • Do pastors feel convicted ... BUT ... don't change?
  • Do you "ghost" people out?
  •      Do you not reply to people's emails?
  •      Do you ignore people who say things to you you do not like?
  •      Do you stop talking to people when someone asks you a question or say things you do not like?
  • Are pastors fearful of those who are strong in their prayer life, bible study, fellowship ... AND .. actually share Christ?
  •     Are we as pastors superficial and surface minded?
  •     Do we desire surface relationships and connections rather than going deep?
  •     Are we fearful of radical changes ... even if those changes are lead by Jesus / The Holy Spirit?
  • Are pastors addicted to drama, pain and suffering as it creates a need in people for them?
  •    Do we use prayer as an excuse to not DO, take action ... but to keep the present in place?
  • Do pastors want to help people or help them to heal?
  • Do pastors hate disruptors ... and struggle with bitterness, holding in bitterness and payback ... and may not even be aware of it?
  • Is what pastors really need is more encouragement ... OR ... is encouragement a part of the problem, not the solution?

If ... in reading these questions ... you felt a sense of defensiveness or apprehension, GREAT!  :-)  With CPN for pastors you are in a safe place where we help pastors learn how to take any question and take whatever % of truth there is, learn from it ... and then file the rest.  Curious questions ... even or especially the hardest questions is what builds our mental / brain synopsis to be stronger and when the enemy attacks, we will be prepared to quickly overcome any type of question, learn and grow from it.

5. Creating Engagement

OK ... what was your number one take away from the previous session?   Was it what Duane shared about his formula of getting people who are passionate about something to get someone else to partner up with them and dive in together?

  • People are drawn to people who have PASSION!  Do you have challenges in getting people to volunteer and stick with what they said they would do?
  • Would you like a simple, fun and easy way to have people engage their friends, neighbors and family ... who do not attend church?  We often move to quickly to share the gospel ... which doesn't work so well for people so they give and and don't even try.
  • Why Does P.S. Evangelism work so well?  There are so many reasons actually.  One is that it's easy and natural and all people have to do is ask someone a very simple question that has nothing to do with sharing Christ or the Bible.  It's a question that a friend would ask.
  • Why does it get people to volunteer better?  When we tap into people's passions, it's not really work, it's not really volunteering ... it's really just having fun.  ~ click here ~

So ... What Do You Think?

When we take notes ... when we think / ruminate about what is shared and actively, intentionally apply what is shared with our own biggest challenge ... we discover solutions which are life changing for us and those we serve.

A Most Interesting Session!

Who Will You Share ...?

Who do we know who may be facing burnout?  our spouse, our friends, peers, our children, those in our congregation, those in the community?  When we share ... a podcast / webinar we show we care.

What IF ... we could tell ... based on our personality ... a lot more than we think we can?

Direct Links For Table Of Contents

Who do you know ... who would benefit from the massive resource library which is available here?  Most pastors ... those in full-time Christian work will become overwhelmed ... maybe ... if you "just share the website."  But ... if you share specific links to specific areas in the site and give them context of why you are sharing, they will gain immediate benefit and that will help them to start seeing how this site, the resources available will change ... well ... everything.  Feel free to share with them that they won't agree / like everything on the site ... that you don't agree with everything, but that it does challenge your thinking and you think that's probably something that seminaries, other groups / organizations, para church groups may not do as much as maybe to produce a healthy body of Christ?  Don't make the decision for others if they will or won't like this ... allow those around you to be big boys and girls and make that decision on their own.  :-)

Click on the following topic.  Go to the top of the screen where the url (website link) is.  Copy that and share that with those around you.  Yes, you are free to share it with peers, leaders in the church, business owners / leaders ... yes ... even members in your congregation and the unsaved.  :-)   They are going to gain access to this site eventually.  Wouldn't it be better to have you, as a pastor / leader to see it first?  :-)  It's meant to produce curiosity and questions ... and trust us ... they will respect you a great deal of seeking true honestly and transparency ... not something that is often superficial and artificial in the Christian world which hurts the entire body.

Direct Links For Specific Areas In Website

Direct Links For Specific Podcasts / Webinars

Do you have wisdom principles, you have learned in ministry ... you wished someone had taught you in seminar, church or Sunday School growing up?  Do you have questions ... but maybe fearful of asking them?  Do you have observations, but know that it's best not to share those.  Leaders of podcasts / webinars are outliers a bit and and seem to not have fear of asking the hard questions or sharing things which others may not say.  Remember to share key links with other pastors, leaders and those in you know / in your congregations who may benefit from these specific topics.
